1. An Introduction to Tourism.
   
   
   • General issues related to Tourism: history, factors affecting tourism, etc.
   • Basic vocabulary about tourism.
   • Vocabulary related to the topic.
   • Grammar: Review of Present Simple/Present Continuous/Past Simple/Past Continuous/ Making questions/ The Passive Voice.
   • Getting information from clients through questions.
   • Writing descriptions: Describing traditions using the passive voice.
   • Sounds of English/Minimal pairs
2. The Organization and Structure of Tourism
   
   
   • General issues related to the lesson: reasons to travel, jobs in tourism, CVs and covering letters, etc.
   • Vocabulary related to the topic.
   • Giving definitions of jobs related to tourism.
   • Grammar: Past simple vs. Present Perfect//Present Perfect Simple vs. Present Perfect Continuous// Past Perfect//Indirect questions.
   • Review English sounds// Similar sounding words// "-ed" pronunciation.
   • Specific vocabulary about the structure and organization of tourism, specific jobs related to tourism.
   • Analysis of the different parts of a CV and covering letter. How to write a CV.
   • Writing CVs and covering letters.
3. Travelling and Travel Agencies
   
   
   • General issues related to tourism and travelling: tourists attractions, types of tourists, booking, vacation descriptions, travel agencies.
   • Vocabulary: types of holidays, types of travelers (e.g. business traveler).
   • Grammar: Future Tenses// Making Suggestions and giving information// Formulas to make and take a booking.
   • Telephone conversations.
   • Describing cultural factors to be taken into account when travelling using structures for giving advice.
   • American vs. British pronunciation.
4. Air Travel
   
   
   • General issues about air travel: immigration requirements, airport procedure, air miles, low cost airlines, propinas, etc.
   • Complaints//Complaint letters// Replies to complaint letters.
   • Comparing travel agents to tour operators.
   • Giving definitions of words related to tour operators and travel agents.
   • Expressing requirements to travel to certain countries.
   • Analysis of different types of texts tour operators send and receive: memos, e-mails, faxes, enquiries, phone messages, etc. Replies to these types of texts.
   • Grammar: Expressions for complaining, negotiating. Review of conditionals.
   • Written complaints: how to reply.
   • Spoken complaints: how to reply.
